Blackberry season is over. Blueberries will be available through July.

Bailey's Berry Patch is located halfway between Gainesville, Texas and Sherman, Texas, 12 miles south of the Oklahoma border and is easily accessible from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area as well as all of Southern Oklahoma. The Berry Patch consists of six acres of blueberries and three acres of blackberries with over six miles of drip irrigation. You will find four varieties of blueberries and four varieties of blackberries. You will appreciate the fact that only two varieties of blackberries have thorns. Of course, those varieties produce berries the size of bantam chicken eggs that are beautiful, as well as juicy.

Visitors to our farm can pick their own fruit while enjoying the beauty of the area. In fact, many people pack a picnic lunch and come with friends and family to spend a few hours in the country. There are picnic tables under the oak trees and fish food is available for the children to feed the catfish in the pond. There are a number of families that come several times during the season.

If you are interested in picking berries or in coming to the country to see our beautiful farm, we will be happy to place you on our mailing list. Please e-mail us your name and e-mail address or sign up through this web site. We will stay in touch with you by sending you our schedule and lots of wonderful recipes.

We provide everything that you need to pick your berries and to get them home; however, during hot weather you may want to bring an ice chest with ice. We will provide a bucket for you to use to put your berries in as you pick. The bucket is marked "one gallon"; but actually holds a little over a gallon. We charge by the level bucket and not by the pound.

If you need additional information, please call or email us. Our email address and telephone number is shown at the bottom left of this page.
